The Museum of Islamic Art is a must visit for any Muslim traveller visiting the country, a collection of beautiful pieces of artwork and collections from the Islamic world. The Souq Waqif, The Pearl Qatar and the Doha Corniche are well worth a visit to enjoy the culture, history, scenery, and lifestyle of the Qatari people. Qatar is also home to the Al Zubarah Fort, an iconic desert fort. The Zubarah Fort was derived from the archaeological site of Al Zubarah town, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. If you’re an adventurous Muslim traveller looking for something a little bit more exciting, try paragliding in the desert or explore the Dhal al Misfir Cave.

Doha is also a great location to spend Ramadhan, as the daytime is quiet and the markets and restaurants come alive after Maghrib. Alcohol is also not available in any restaurants during Ramadhan making Iftar a pleasant experience. Check the Doha News website for a handy guide on restaurant timings, as well as popular #qatarfoodbloggers and lifestyle bloggers who usually publish their own guides. Local expat, the Muslim Travel Girl who now resides in Doha has some excellent blog posts on what to do and where to go in Doha too! Muslim travellers can enjoy access to halal cuisine everywhere in Qatar. With so many restaurants and café’s offering all-time favourites, it can be pretty hard for both Muslim couples and families to choose where to eat.
